This year, IC awarded 10 scholarships to local high school seniors in the community.

Fitchburg, MA: For the past six years, IC Credit Union has awarded scholarships to graduating high school seniors who plan to continue their education at an accredited institution.

This year, IC awarded 10 scholarships to local high school seniors in the community. These awards included a $2,000 scholarship in partnership with the North Central Mass Chamber of Commerce, five $1,500 scholarships, and an additional $1,500 scholarship for an IC team member through their internal program. Additionally, three $1,000 scholarships were granted to graduating Fitchburg High School seniors. Winners were chosen from nearly 60 applicants based on their academics, extracurricular activities, and a creative proposal outlining how they would give back to their communities if given the opportunity.

“We’re incredibly proud to support the educational aspirations of young students in our community through our scholarship program,” commented Christopher P. Hendry, President and CEO. “We selected these scholarship recipients not just for their academic excellence, but for their passionate commitment to contributing positively to our communities. We’re excited to see them thrive as they begin their first semester in the coming weeks.”

Scholarship recipients were meticulously chosen, not solely based on their academic prowess, but also for their shared passion for community engagement. Demonstrating a collective commitment to making positive contributions to society, these exceptional individuals embody IC’s core principles.
