Fitchburg, MA – January 14, 2021 – “On behalf of the Board of Directors,” stated Norman Gariepy, Board Chair, “I am very pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Hendry as President & Chief Executive Officer of IC Credit Union. During this important moment in time, we are very fortunate to have someone with Chris’ leadership experience directing the operations of the Credit Union.”
When asked about his new position, Chris stated, “I am excited to be working at this fantastic organization and honored that I have been chosen for this role. I am looking forward to working with the Senior Leadership Team and the entire staff in advancing our mission to our Membership and our community.”
Chris previously served as the Senior Director of External Affairs for UMass Memorial Health Alliance-Clinton Hospital, where he provided strategic direction for the marketing, communication, philanthropic and community-benefits programs. “As a Member of IC’s Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee since 2014,” stated Mr. Gariepy, “Chris has a solid understanding of all facets of the Credit Union’s operations, and has leadership skills that will allow us to successfully implement our strategies and take advantage of future opportunities.”
Chris has been active in our community, serving on the boards of many local organizations, including NewVue Communities, the Arc of Opportunity and the Fitchburg Art Museum. Chris earned an MBA from Fitchburg State University, and currently lives in Leominster with his wife and 2 children.
